Food is expensive. $183 isn't buying much.

For $183 bucks I can fil the bellies of a family of five, and have money left over. As a bonus everyone in the house would be eating healthy nutritious foods.

The average - per person - is $187 per month. And these are not single-person homes. The family homes on SNAP average 3.3 people per household, so that's over $600 on average.

Any family anywhere in America can eat just fine on that with a little planning, restraint, creativity and work.

For less than a week. I don't know where you shop, but the store prices I visit are high.

Using a Twain quote to back up your shitty brand of conservatism is like using Born in the USA at a pro war rally.

I'll gladly donate to these causes if the govt get's rid of the federal income tax. I'll have more money to gladly assist towards the causes of my choosing.

The parents most likely have tattoos, vape, smoke, drink, or some combination of those that they still manage to find money for.

First rule of debate, when you attack your opponent personally, you acknowledge you have lost the argument at hand.

The one in five stat has been the same for almost 30 years. It was even referenced in the West Wing tv show multiple times. Seems like five presidents later - multiple democratic and republican - that this is not something government can fix.
