Apparently the shutdown has the Trump admin running like a well oiled machine.

The bureaucratic resistance factions are out of the way. The Trump admin is running better with 15% staff minus the dead weight and resistance factions that gum up the works. Administration officials can go directly to department heads that are more loyal to Trump and they can execute Trump admin initiatives more efficiently without the ball and chain of "process" and resistance.
That brings me to the next issue.
Apparently if these furloughed workers remain furloughed more than 30 days that triggers a law that allows department heads to eliminate those positions without going though the arduous process to fire someone (which is practically impossible).
But I learned that this law only applies to "administrative" furloughs and not government shutdown furloughs. I did not know there was a difference. This is a subject that was probably taught in advanced civics which I did not take...
With that said, if the distinction is not that clear these department heads should put these resistance faction positions on the chopping block. Even if they win in court, the court and legal process may take several months to years and by that time the resistance factions are gone or mostly gone.
Can someone knowledgeable about eliminating federal government positions that are furloughed please comment on this strategy to drain the swamp.

Well, while you guys were shitting the floor Trump signed legislation empowering woman entrepreneurs everywhere to have better access to opportunities to help them be successful.

Imagine that. The #resist leftists are the ones who hold the non essential jobs

This means I typically spend about 15 percent of my time on the president’s agenda and 85 percent of my time trying to stop sabotage, and we have no power to get rid of them. Until the shutdown.
Due to the lack of funding, many federal agencies are now operating more effectively from the top down on a fraction of their workforce, with only select essential personnel serving national security tasks. One might think this is how government should function, but bureaucracies operate from the bottom up — a collective of self-generated ideas. Ideas become initiatives, formalize into offices, they seek funds from Congress and become bureaus or sub-agencies, and maybe one day grow to be their own independent agency, like ours. The nature of a big administrative bureaucracy is to grow to serve itself. I watch it and fight it daily.

But President Trump can end this abuse. Senior officials can reprioritize during an extended shutdown, focus on valuable results and weed out the saboteurs. We do not want most employees to return, because we are working better without them. Sure, we empathize with families making tough financial decisions, like mine, and just like private citizens who have to find other work and bring competitive value every day, while paying more than a third of their salary in federal taxes

If SES is the problem, I believe department heads can eliminate an SES at will. I don't think the typical CS protections apply to them.

This ends tomorrow. Trump will divert DoD funds to build the wall, declare the emergency and re-open the Government.

That will be one big middle finger to the DoD, but hey if it opens the gov't back up, then so be it.
