That’s not accurate at all as far as Mormons go.

Ummm. What are you talking about?

Are you Mormon?

I live amongst them and talk to some that left and they are ostracized.

Maybe you are a Mormon expert and I should tell these people they are lying.

I've worked with Mormons and have been friends with Mormons. I have never seen or heard stories about Mormons disassociating from family members that didn't follow the same beliefs.

You don't know many then.

They are the nicest people until they can't convert you.

Your friends must still have faith that you may convert.

You didnt actually answer that question, are you a Mormon?

It doesnt matter to me, but a simple yes or no was all that was asked for.

ETA: I'll take your down vote as a yes.

4 Mormons hanging out here so far.

That’s a family issue then, not a church policy issue.

There’s nothing to expand on. They’ve been screaming the same rhetoric after every incident when some loony shoots something up for a long time. It’s their playbook.

It’s also reality.
The church doesn’t have to have a specific policy on this.

They aren’t as bad as Scientologists for sure but ostracization happens unless Megan and Eric both lied.

I suppose that’s possible but their stories were similar.

ETA: who got their feelings hurt?

It’s a bit different. They will still be nice but only when in passing. You will never be part of their circle.

We live on a street that is probably 90% Mormon.

No one has knocked to try to convert us. They wave and say hello but that’s it. No other interaction will ever happen.

I did buy my camper from an elderly neighbor who is Mormon. He and his wife are super sweet but I’m not one of them.

And I’m OK with that.

I can’t get past gold plates with alien language.

ETA: didn’t know we had Mormons posting here. Your downvotes don’t mean a thing. You people are weird.

For me it's the magic underwear and members like Raymond Jessop with the forced child weddings.

Our church sent a crew to help moms and children left in the lurch after a polygamist sect in Colorado City was broken up and some of the men were sent to jail.

Marrying 12 year olds.

Evil.

Those are not your typical Mormons though just to be clear.

Is it Mormons downvoting or Fromans. I can’t tell. People don’t like the truth it seems.

His post was at 10:47am. It’s 6:47pm central.

Why would he need to guess at this point?

Many Alaskan tour companies hire summer employees from universities in Utah. Most of them I worked around were good people.

When the women leave, they tend to go wild though.

All kinds of religions here.

Only the Jewish, Atheist and Christians are up front about it, but there are definitely a number of Muslims, Jehovahs Witnesses and Mormons floating around.

Pretty common when a female or male leaves any religion or a group like the Amish or Mennonites.
