Indeed, the first goals of the proposed “Green New Deal” include securing “community resiliency” and “repairing historic oppression” of almost every class of victims the authors can imagine.
(Note: the legislation fails to mention — even once — the historic oppression of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities. This is a homophobic and transphobic document.)

How in the name of all that's holy did we get to this point? 
My first realization that we were tipping over the cliff (as opposed to being a nation full of people that just disagreed about how to best secure a common future) was when I saw there was a class being taught at one of our prestigious universities entitled, "The Sexual Politics of Meat"
We really have a large % of our population that have lost their minds - and it's not just in California and the extreme northeast.
