She's not wrong that using recess as a pressure tactic is pretty disgusting. We pay these idiots so much, yet they still barely work.

AOC has no power in Congress, but when people say she's the "heart" of the party, they're not lying. Every single presidential candidate is falling over themselves to bend to her will and not the other way around. Even Biden was forced to acquiesce and endorse the Green New Deal.
Nance can stone wall her, but AOC was never going to have much power in Congress itself anyway. She's a freshman backbencher who has somehow become the most talked about politician in the country after the president. At this point her actual power to dictate the national agenda is beyond anything Nance can control.
And the fact also remains that Pelosi probably isn't lasting as Speaker beyond this term.

I can understand this point. "Skate where the puck is going" is a mantra that has always existed in politics... granted the politicians in power don't lose the fights they pick. We've seen it countless times in global politics with young politicians that picked the wrong fight, even Churchill was left in the wilderness for years because he crossed the the aisle to Lloyd George.
