Just kidding. She’s talking about the guy who was restrained and choked out on the subway by three people. She thinks Ashli deserved that bullet to the face. AOC barely escaped with her life that day, after all.

What specifically is she referencing vis a vis the "powerful incentives" that "exist in politics + media to keep people afraid of each other"? What are those incentives exactly?

She’s saying that Fox News and Republicans make money and leverage political power by using fear to keep people afraid of one another; it’s harmful and exploitative and Fox News and Republicans should be like MSNBC, CNN, et al and Democrats and bring everyone together by not being divisive and pitting people against each other.
