Amazon is going to ruin American industry and is already costing us thousands of jobs. Not to mention, Amazon is all about automation. We will have a huge welfare unemployed population too. Bezos is a globalist and Amazon is essentially subsidized by taxpayers for tax benefits to their company and the USPS.

I don’t boycott Whole Foods because of Bezos. I boycott Whole Foods because a grocery run should not cost more than a car note.

You love globalists like Bezos don’t you? If Soros is funding BLM, I wonder what Bezos will do.

Amazon is great for small business

every heard of the 3rd party market place

If you have a beef with killing local business then take that up with Walmart.

I get all the above, but more automation for mindless logistics duties is good...
States need to support more small business options anyway

That’s why Whole Foods should be called Whole Paycheck.

It’s extortion.

No, Amazon Prime has allowed me to save a ton of money.

And the NFL All or Nothing and The Grand Tour are awesome shows.

I’m watching Amazon Prime video right now.

It is up to their competitors to become better.

Why do you hate the free market, commie.

Amazon is awesome and has created thousands of jobs in the US.

I like Whole Foods as well, but never buy staples/basic foods there.

I like Jeff Bezos and thank God for the Washington Post.

I hate this lazy-arse thinking.

80 years ago, the CEO of IBM saw a market for 6 computers in the whole world

40 years ago, robots were going to render plant floor workers an anachronism.

20 years ago, there was no such thing as an app developer.

10 years ago, AI was a crazy move with self-driving cars that (obviously) could never happen.

NEVER underestimate the ingenuity of the American mind for innovation in both function and a way to make money from it. It is STILL the single biggest differentiator, as a whole. Anybody who disagrees with this has never spent significant time overseas.

Yes

Also Target, Yeti, Keurig, Dicks (although I've been boycotting dicks my entire life, so . . . .)

I built a Whole Foods store a few years ago. They specified four dedicated 480volt three phase circuits from the rear of the store to the front parking lot for car charging stations. When asked how many battery operated cars were anticipated in the current market, they replied “not many at all”.

The cost of these dedicated circuits was an additional 85k to the project due to the length of the runs, demolition of existing asphalt, replacement of new asphalt, electrical connections with their special Whole Foods labeled plugs that could only be purchased from a sole source, and sole source bollards for identification purposes.

Three years later, I still have not purchased a thing from Whole Foods.

Just like what happened with the invention of the steam engine, America will never learn.
