I know this has already been bandied about here, but I just finished mine and it's not good.

I know, I know..."my taxes were lowered", "I saw a slight difference in my pay"...

FTR, I'm a huge Trump supporter, but I feel like I've just been kicked in the teeth.

I realize the SALT deduction was capped, but I never realized it would affect me this much. I went from receiving a little bit, to owing a truckload.

I'm looking for honest replies... Thanks

If this is accurate, I found your problem.

I was just about to say the same thing.

He can thank Chicago for his tax burden now.

Sounds like Illinois took its "fair share".

I honestly wonder how this kick in the teeth will impact 2020. Will it make people vote more physically conservatively in local politics it will they vote for more previous status quo politicians to reinstate the exemptions.

You keep blaming trump.... yet it’s your state and local taxes that frick you.

See... in all the other states in the Midwest around you... people have BEEN paying what you will this year. Actually they were paying more... the cut did help them. You have been getting a cut because your blue state of Illinois is taxing the shiete out of you and pissing it away.. right under your nose.

Remember, some of the blue states decided to offset the cuts by adding more taxes.

Nooooooooo... You can’t keep more of your money!

I only owed 1800 this year. Last year it was about 4 times that, so I was happy.

...It's The Federal I owe on.

My state taxes actually weren't bad. I live much further south from Cook County.

There's a reason people are fleeing Illinois. Perhaps you should join them.

Sorry but we've had to subsidize your tax and spend state government for a long time. Maybe talk to them and tell them to stop taxing you so much. Time to pay your fair share at a national level.

You need to take this up with your local or state government...

We haven’t done ours yet. It has fluctuated from owing $5K to $15K over the last 9 years. Small Business owners always get fricked.

Sounds like you live in a blue state. I suggest you move or get your fellow people to start voting in people that will not raise your taxes.

We are in Texas and ours are slightly lower. Same for our families in Texas and Florida. Honestly haven't heard anyone that I work with or talk to saying their taxes went up.
