Why is it an absurd idea?
Do you know the cost vs. benefit of the potential deal? If so, then you should be able to easily articulate your stance.

Because the people he sought to buy it from referred to it as an absurd idea.
Now I am no seasoned expert on acquiring land, or countries for that matter, but I do know in order to buy something you have to have a seller.
The seller called the idea absurd. No need to get into the cost benefit analysis: if it’s not for sale, it’s not for sale.

ok so your basis on thinking it's absurd is based on the initial reaction of the potential seller. If everyone thought like you, most business deals would never be made.

His and 9th life’s melting rate far exceeds Greenland’s glaciers melting rate. Just imagine the minerals we’d have access to when we bump up the glacial melting rate to theirs
