I keep hearing ‘traditionally mid-terms blah blah blah’

It's because in 90% of mid term elections since 1946 the party of the president in power loses.

I call bullshite on that! Paxton was a thorn in Biden's arse during his administration! Cornyn was against the border wall, pro-illegal alien and anti-Trump!
Cornyn is one of the biggest RINOs in DC!

You can indict a ham sandwich, the Bush’s were after Paxton and used lawfare (indictments & impeachment) to try and get him to go away. I am no fan of the Bush’s or their cronies as they are no better than the D’s.

THIS!!!!!

Anybody even remotely voting for that RINO cocksucker Cornyn, is that, a RINO or a libtard!

Cornyn is despises MAGA and conservatives

In May 2023, the Texas House of Representatives impeached Paxton on 20 articles of impeachment. The charges were later narrowed to 16 articles focusing on bribery, unfitness for office, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and abuse of public trust, largely stemming from his relationship with a campaign donor.

You forgot to mention all of the charges were absolute bullshite.

I followed the entire trial and the prosecutions case was laughable. Their witnesses literally crumbled on live tv it was fricking amazing.

Thanks for sharing that. Not having followed Paxton, I was being convinced that this was just the lesser of two evils. Improving with a slightly better candidate is still improving. But, if “Lawfare” is his negative, I’m happy.

A laundry list….

The 20 articles of impeachment was totally made up BS, which is why the Texas senate acquitted Paxton and the justice department did not pursue anything further. The guy leading the charge against Paxton was a top notch RINO in the Texas state House, Andrew Murr who then chose not to run for reelection because he knew his impeachment push was shite and would have seen a disastrous loss.

The securities fraud case was dismissed.

Try harder.

I prefer to look at actual results when the person has the authority and power to do things for his constituents.

So he likes to frick and doesn’t go with the good ole boy flow that has greased the palms of these RINO’s for far too long which then makes enemies that want him gone.

Sounds good to me!

Everyone knows it yet no one can show proof or say exactly what it is people are paying to play for.

You get caught up in the gotcha headlines.

I actually know very little about the trial. It was always a kangaroo court proceeding. I’m going off what everyone had been hearing for years from people who have been extorted by him. I know 2 people who were personally shaken down. One is a lobbyist and the other an attorney that was reping a client he targeted.

If you want to make the argument that he’s the lesser of two evils fine. But he’s a piece of shite human and knighting for him is silly.

On an anonymous message board. My point is people in public don’t talk about how much they love Paxton. They do that on PT and Twitter because they don’t have to deal with people judging them for liking a turd of a human.

Even Trump won’t endorse him.

Texas has been solid red for decades. So for a Republican to get impeached by the Texas House is very telling.
