"Ghoul" - Some people laugh at anything. Not me. It takes some pretty unique, intelligent & sometimes "sick" humor to bust me out. While reading comments on this forum, you just never know when you'll blow!

Ghoul - I hav'nt heard that word in decades. What a perfect choice, description for OP's MIL!

My 66 year old mom went the opposite direction...went out and bought an AR last year after only having a purse pistol she kept locked away for years.

As far as the rest of the fam, probably 90% right wingers, rest just blue dog dems who didn't like OMB. I'm the outlier libertarian who doesn't like either party.

My X wife was a democrat until we got married and she saw taxes come out of my pay check. She became conservative AF really quickly. Moving to north Bentonville added to that also. ( From shite Hole Little Rock)

Yes, but they are still family and we don't let political leanings ruin our relationships.

I do have some family that are “woke”. They live in very blue areas and think that anything but CNN is “fake news.”

I don’t see them often, but when I do I tell them up front that I am NOT going to discuss politics with them. Not good for the blood pressure or mental health.

This is someone’s relative… they post on some FB groups, portraying themselves as an Uber-intellectual. He also just started a job as a cashier at Sam’s Club, where the intellectuals gather.

Check out a photo from his recent field trip to pay homage to his hero. Notice anything?

Im talking about know your history, seeing what happened in the past to understand how we got here, what history is repeating itself, and anticipating what may happen next. I’m talking about really learning what the motivations are of those in power. Following the money. Do you think any of those people would even bother to piss on you if you were on fire? I’m talking about about opening your eyes, looking at what’s going on around you, and using your own goddamn common sense.
