Well considering that the dems have been exposed as actually working with the Russians to bring down Trump they'll try to let it die but unfortunately it's too late for that so a lot of democrats will pay the price for their stupidity.

Well, not sure what "purpose" you think has been served, Toddy...but what has happened is that the MSM/Dem Party have shown their true colors and been totally discredited when it comes to any potential of working with them. And the wheels are now turning for another SC, since Meuller/Comey/Lynch have been linked together.
The Russian thing either as a stall tactic, or a longshot to take Trump out was essentially worse than a failure for Dems...it may well be the undoing of many up there.
