Oh, I don't believe in any of them. The same criteria you would use to discredit Islam can be applied to Christianity, as well as the same claims for it being the one true religion.

These GOP idiots in Kansas remind me of a dying elephant. It's all over except for the bellows. They know marriage equality is coming. So what do they do? Pass this idiotic Turn Away the Gays Bill that is never going to stand up in court.

Oh, you know I have gay rage because you keep asking me to frick you in the arse in front of your mother.
Posted on 2/14/14 at 8:10 pm to Toddy
Toddy, you lied and said you only wanted to be able to marry the one you love. You are a tryannical arse that deserves no rights either since you want others that do not agree with you denied their first amendment rights.

If gays aren't a protected class, how will this bill not stand up in court?
Do you have a problem with being able to refuse service to anyone for any reason? Do you respect private property rights that much?

A poster's personal life has nothing to do with a discussion pertaining to society.

I'm more concerned about private property rights being encroached on by the idea of protected classes.

How are segregated by-sex sexual relationships EQUAL to male-female sexual relationships? They aren't equal. If sameness is equal to the male-female diversity then segregated by race is equal to desegregated as well, according to your Colonel Toddy thinking.

You're allowing yourself to change the debate away from something more important than gay marriage ever will be and that's private property rights.

Funny how mine does on here and I don't see you standing up to Toddy and his friends when they say I have "gay rage" and stuff.
Toddy said he was only seeking the right to marry the one he loved. I knew that's not what he was actually seeking. He is calling the Kansas law idiotic because he says "Turn away the gay laws" will be ruled unconstitutional because marriage equality is coming. Now, this law had nothing to do with his personal, private life but was about protecting the rights and private lives that do not agree, will not participate in their events and maintaining they have the most important right - to not be compelled against their conscience.
Religion is not a class but represents the conscience and is the intrical part of free speech. It is the first amendment and if you are more worried about your private property rights you better stand firm for the first and those religious people in every aspect, including when they work at government jobs. I find it ironic the left celebrated Lois Lerner pleading the fifth but say when you open your private business you can't discriminate and forfeit all your rights.

No I am not. The first amendment is of utmost importance followed by the second. If I cannot freely express my ideas and beliefs and must bow to the dictates of the government in what I am allowed to say and my beliefs must bow to those that are completely defined by their sexual desires, then what makes you think are private property rights.

Gays are about to be treated as a protected class. The Ninth Circuit ruled last week (in a pharmaceutical case) that gay discrimination cases have to be subjected to "heightened scrutiny". This is the same level that women and racial minority discrimination cases are subjected to. This is why the attorney general and Republican governor of Nevada withdrew from defending a case concerning the state's gay marriage ban that's before the Ninth. They said there is no defense now because it will be ruled unconstitutional. The Ninth Circuit also stated that the SCOTUS applied heightened scrutiny in the DOMA cases last year (even though they didn't specifically state that in their decision)

I think people should be free to refuse service. I'm not saying I agree with all of this. I'm just stating that's what's going to happen.

Toddy, read the Ayn Rand quote that is my sig.

Intellectually dishonest term.
Liberals are dead set against marriage equality. They routinely discriminate against married couples in tax, insurance, and benefits. Funny how you never speak out on that. It's as if you care about human rights only when it benefits you personally.
Posted on 2/14/14 at 8:38 pm to Toddy
"Heightened Scrutiny" is "Some people get more protection than others because they are a protected class. So those protected classes are royalty that has the rights that others do not have.

Bestbank, following Benghazi the Obama administration dictated we have a state religion. Most do not realize it, but when they declared that a video caused the attacks and jailed the man who made it, Islam was officially made the church that all others must bow to and not offend. It will trump the gay rights.

I'm speaking of the fact that gay marriage is inevitable and will be legal everywhere soon. That battle is already lost.
You would be better served at protecting your liberties and making sure that homosexuality doesn't become a protected class which would be nothing more than legislated morality. And I will stand up and fight with you on that forefront.
Posted on 2/14/14 at 8:54 pm to Toddy
9th circuit, why am I not surprised? Statists of left and right really hate freedom and is comfortable with infringing on private property rights when they see a display of immorality.
Good.
Protected classes are nothing more than legislated morality and the gov't giving itself dominion and basically saying they own your labor and the products and services you sell when the subject of the classes are concerned. That's evil and I can't support that.

Now wait just one minute.
I was told that liberals don't legislate morality. Conservatives do that.

They're just as bad as conservatives. However, you can't criticize liberals for it because they control the narrative in the majority of this country with the aforementioned arrative being against conservatives and libertarians. That allows them to get away with it more frequently.
