That is the thing. DeSantis did absolutely nothing except win his race.

That is it.

Ron doesn't need to take Trump's bait. DeSantis just needs to keep doing what he is doing. Getting in the gutter with Trump is a losing proposition....just ask Jeb, Cruz and Rubio.

Trump is specifically referring to the topic of running for President. Specifically. Hell that topic is and has been hot no matter whether there was even a midterm election or not. It’s quite separate and independent from Desantis’ governor’s race.

Trumps political career is over. He either steps aside or loses in the primary

The more they attack Trump & push DeSantis on us, the more I question what’s going on behind the scenes with his globalist WEF backers. Now I’m suspicious of Ron. MAGA has no desire to unite with the globalist RINOs. They are an enemy of America....

It has become more than obvious that Trump must know something about this coalition they’re forming with Ron that we don’t know yet.

Again I still support Desantis; however, the rallying around him is strange.

The establishment hates everything that people voted on for Trump. Why would they support him this early?

Just because the GOPe is praising DeSantis doesn’t mean he has anything to do with it. They obviously want to get rid of Trump but that doesn’t make him an accomplice.

All he did was win his election and carry FL. It’s not like he started throwing jabs at trump.

There is a 25% hardcore Trump supporter that will not vote for anyone that isn't him or who he supports.
I think it’s more like “don’t for anyone that isn’t him,” which is why it seems Trump was really good for down ballot GOPers in 2016 and 2020 but not in 2018 and 2022.

He brought out low propensity voters, but it appears they only come out for him, so he helps the MAGA republican candidates (Boebert) get support that they may have lost from establishment republicans and he helps the establishment republicans by getting support from MAGA (who would never vote dem) and their typical supporters.

But as we’ve seen this election, when the conditions are right (being the opposition party), the establishment can do fine without Trump, but the MAGA republicans underperform and underperform enough to lose, which indicates the low propensity voters didn’t show up.

So unless Trump is on the ballot, he doesn’t provide that benefit,. Now that might give him a chance to get on it again for the house/senate, but that gives Ds a better chance at keeping the presidency (underperforming the establishment). But I think at this point, the establishment has to be thinking they can win without him, and have a better chance to win the presidency. And this type of stuff only makes him more toxic, and diminishes the benefit he brings.

I thought this Trump-Desantis feud was just a media creation and a psy op?

So the same group that bitches at libertarians for splitting the vote will stay home if Trump isn’t the candidate and guarantee another Biden term?

Both are terrible ideas.

Yeah, like I said, I think Trump expects that and he's already off his game as a result. He's arguing with himself right now because DeSantis is governing.

Which of them do you put in a comparable class to Ron DeSantis?

Trump is a master. His reference to Andrew Gillum should be studied in literature classes. He’s a comedic savant.

All of them unless you might describe the nature of the “classes”. Even just a little description to note the differences. Other than literal different offices/positions in life at the time, I currently see all same class.

So thus far you think Jeb Bush and Ron DeSantis are comparable politicians/candidates?

Some election wonk made a comment about this the other day.

I called them the "Rusty 20 year old truck with Trump flag in the back" crowd.
