Sounds like this one is on the Father. He knew that His Son wasn't right, and likely a danger to those around Him. And still let the guns fall into His hands. If the shooter had been forced to buy them and the Background Checks didn't work...then it's on LE.
Sidenote: I apologize for laughing at the funny commentary this morn re the shooting; I assumed that at 3:00 am it was a drug thing. Psychotic shooter and innocents harmed; could happen to any of us. Praise to the Hero.

Totally on dad and not the cops. I had an incident a decade ago where i was strongly encouraged to hand a firearm over for ballistics. State returned the gun to my dad since i was now on probation and scientifically declared not a double murderer. Dad gave it back when i completed probation and i could legally carry again. I suspect had i taken possession earlier than allowed and got in trouble, he'd have been in deep shite... and no blame could fall on law enforcement or the courts. Obviously being a criminal I'm rather anti cop.
