Neither of the two retards commenting in this thread read a lick of what the thread actually says before running their cock holsters.
Any deal to help bring down energy cost is a good deal.
In the OP it didn’t say how Korea was taking 50% of the profits until their investment was paid off. They are going to continue to take profits after their investment is paid off, but I’m not sure the percentage.
It is a long process to get approvals and permits to start construction
1. Early Site Permits: Approves a site for a potential plant before a construction application is filed.
2. Design Certification: Approves standard reactor designs through separate rulemaking.
3. Combined Licenses (COL): Authorizes both construction and conditional operation.
4. Safety Evaluations: Evaluates safety analyses via NRC staff and the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards.
This does not include all the lawsuits that will be filed.
Next administration will be in before the construction gets started and they will find a way to get the credit

As if that makes a bit of difference
It's not my fault you're too dumb to understand what an investment is and that it means the profits will be leaving the country rather than staying in the US.
Because asking why the frick we don't have American investors building these things is somehow an attack on Trump.

You are cheering for foreign investors because you are too dumb to understand what's going on.
You should be wanting to see American companies invested in America. You know, the way it use to be when America was great.

He’s a moron who is fine with tariffs imposed on us but they’re bad when we do it. Hell even Biden was smart enough to keep Trump tariffs.

you hate this increase in private sector jobs and cutting of government jobs huh?
Why do you so badly want to see Americans labor for the profits of a foreign nation/company?
If you just want to create jobs we can start building roads with spoons.

When foreign nations and companies "invest" in the US, it's really just the US selling off assets.
No it's not. They are literally building new assets instead of the taxpayer. This is not selling assets. It's building critical infrastructure without financing it through federal debt.
In exchange they get lower tariffs and this increases their jobs manufacturing this.

Yes it is. They are going to get American customers, aka the asset.
Now Americans will be buying things, in this case energy, in order to provide profits to a foreign nation/company.
Meaning, money will be leaving the country.
Why can't American companies invest in America anymore?

Every part of it. It's in the thread title, it's in the body of the OP, and the 350 billion dollar TRADE DEAL part is also in the OP. Powerwoman is a stupid person. There's no other way to parse it.

It’s going to be a bunch of Koreans working there. That’s how they roll. I went to 2 korean owned manufacturing plants in Georgia and maybe 1 in 5 employees was American. They only hire Americans when they absolutely have to.

I don't understand why it's good for America considering you make an investment for a ROI, meaning they will get every penny back and then profits on top of it.
So the best case scenario is America workers and consumers are generating profits for a foreign nation/company. All that money leaving the country instead of it going back into the economy.
Not to mention electric power is usually about the closest thing you can get to a legal monopoly/lack of competition.
Any more consumer bases we should sell off to foreign nations?
