I even got a call today from one of the flood control guys because of the anise news and how I had been telling him it was going to happen

I don't even ask him how it's going these days because it just puts him in a foul mood he's past retirement but they've got him on some sort of month to month contract that he's banking on and because he already has pension

But when you start talking about the equity programs that lina and Rodney are pushing ,,, and he is a black man

Who's the head of Army Corps engineers now for the region

And kingwood is tough for several reasons. First there's no open space to do anything. And then the scale of the need is so big, you need federal dollars in the picture. But federal dollars bring huge timefricks with all the environmental regs, and that's only if you can even apply for a program since most of them require some kind of low income component, which kingwood is not.

Yes we do, Juice. We have a common good friend in BM;) We should connect at least on the business level. Just let him know and he’ll connect us, if you’re cool with it.

I am deeply into the Kingwood flood mitigation needs. Can it all get addressed? No. Can some things help? Yes. The LMI component for leveraging Fed bucks is very true and a huge challenge.

So now everybody is going text him?!?!
Leave that poor dude alone!!!!

I’m not sure Annise will be better than Lina. As others have said, she is much smarter and has a lot of backing. She will be more effective in executing a liberal agenda, that will not be good for Houston.

And on the actual topic... Parker has to be better than Lina for reasons others have stated. As amusing as her little spats with Garcia are, she's made commissioners court a fricking circus.

who can ever forget the time rice baseball won the college world series. ch 13 allocated 30 minutes for the celebration. annise was mayor and a rice grad. when she got up to speak, she wouldn't stop talking. they finally got the mike from her and gave it to coach graham with about 5 minutes left. what was supposed to be about the baseball team was hijacked by the politicians. annise is all about annise.

100% He and Sylvester worked together, always presented a united front that made me believe they had actually talked before appearing together at press conferences. Turner had his issues, but he knew which people to work with and EE was the main one. It was funny to see how far he ran from Lina during the Covid press conferences. Even he knew she's an idiot.

I think most people were truly shocked when EE lost that election. Everybody loved him. Damn straight ticket!

It's hard to imagine that anyone would be worse than Dora.
