I wouldn't be surprised if the same group of people were behind both.
But who are we kidding?W hatever they release will already be white washed to protect the proper people. This is a distraction to keep us busy from paying attention to the real issues.

That is MY theory.
1. Oswald 'defects' to Russia.
2. His wife meets him. His Russian is so fluent, she doesn't realize he is not Russian at first meeting.
3. He decides to repatriate voluntarily. Brings a Russian wife with him. That just did not happen in that time period. It just didn't.
4. Oswald is supposedly a broke loser. He turns up in Cuba (another no no)**, he turns up in New Orleans, he turns up on Mexico City, and he turns up in Dallas. That kind of travel takes money. A known 'defector' would be under heavy surveillance.
5. He was known to have a long package with him that day. He was seen several floors below the 6th floor seconds after the shooting. His palm print was on the rifle. Was it put there before or after his death?
6. He has residue from shooting Officer J.D. Tippit. That was where the plan fell apart.
It just doesn't add up. Oswald was not only CIA. He was damn good.
**A Cuban expatriate publication claimed that Fidel Castro made a slip of the tongue about Oswald being in Cuba.

Thanks. It broadly matches my current thoughts.
Your theory about Oswald setting up for the actual shooter in the TSBD resolves inconsistencies that I had.
On the one hand, I don't think that Oswald could have been on the 6th floor at the time of the shooting AND in the lunchroom on the 2nd floor when Officer Baker encountered him there approximately 75 to 90 seconds after the last shot (search "Victoria Adams Girl on the Stairs").
On the other hand, I think someone shot from the 6th floor of the TSBD. Also, Oswald's actions post-shooting certainly indicate complicity in something to do with the assassination.

There is one witness who heard the two shots so close together, most thought it was one.
His testimony is as follows
one shot
one shot
One shot, another shot
Those last two shots are 3/4 of a second apart and are confirmed on the audio tape and is you look at the film you will see what that witness heard.
Kenndy is hit from behind and then from the front with those 2 shots.
Kenndy moves forward the first of the two and then back and towards Jacqueline.
He also said the second shot was from the Grassy Knoll and saw the smoke from the shot, which is proven in a picture.
The book Last second in Dallas covers this story well.
Also sound research proves two shots in under 1 second.

I had an FBI Client very close to the Investigation, he told me there were Two Shooters.

The lack of residue on his cheek, showed that he didn't SHOOT a rifle that day. Even if there were his palm print on the stock of the rifle (questions about that), that showed only that he HANDLED the rifle.

So let's assume there were two shooters..
1) Oswald or Someone Else
and
2) Someone Else
What is one possible explanation (realistic or not) as to why a 2nd shooter wouldn't have been revealed until 60 years later, unless it was an inside job? (CIA, FBI, LBJ, etc)
If it's the Mob, wouldn't that have been revealed?
If it's the Russians, wouldn't that have been revealed?
I just don't see any logical explanation with a 2nd shooter where it wasn't an inside job.
