Not at all, what happened to him was terrible and the people who did it deserve to sit in a prison cell for a long time. However for somebody whose life was effected so dramatically by violence he sure didn't seem to care about it happening to other people.

I didn’t think the press had an obligation to tip off police. Reverse the roles and say Madcow heard Antifa planning violence do you think she would report it?

I watched the video and maybe I’m confused but I don’t see where the group was preparing to instigate a fight. From what I could tell they were trying to avoid them because they were grossly outnumbered and walked the other way. The only thing was that they were prepared for a fight but that doesn’t mean they were preparing to instigate the fight.

Andy Ngo is an American citizen. He has a right to tape what he wants, edit it the way he wants, and say what he wants about it.
He could be the biggest hypocrite ever. It doesn't matter.
People can say whatever they want to about Andy Ngo. They can accuse him of a multitude of violations of right-think in the court of public opinion.
When they violently attack him, they have crossed a line. When they say, "He had it coming", they show they are the fascists they say they are protesting against.

The video was from the May Day protest, before the incident in June. Regardless, he had been threatened and attacked before I believe.
I don't really understand what the video is supposed to prove. I don't fault the Proud Boys / Patriot Prayer people for bringing weapons for defense, and if you watch the video of the Cider Riot scuffle, those weapons weren't used aggressively to attack. They went to Cider Riot to basically show how ridiculous these people were and all you see is things getting thrown at them and getting pepper sprayed.

Exactly what I saw too. There's no video of anybody but Antifa being aggressively violent. That's the difference. Antifa brings weapons to their circle jerks but they actually use them to intimidate, suppress, and attack the other side, and almost always not in self defense.

Seems that the criticism is that this guy was actually involved in the planning of the violent clashes. If he is in the room where violent confrontations are being planned, he isn't the guy to expose "the other side" as a result of the occurrence of violent clashes when he is in on the planning.
