Don't pat yourself on the back here. You're as small minded, at least on this issue, as your perception is of the posters you lampoon. You still haven't explained what your problem with Trump's action is here because "overreach" doesn't make sense given it's DC.

DC crime is a problem. It is uncertain if there are any reliable statistics on the crime in this city for at least two reasons, the administration there is being reviewed for improperly recording statistics, and residents are reporting that when they call in some crimes (theft, vandalism, etc..) they are told these crimes are “crimes involving capital” and not to call back.
If you want a view of what is happening daily go this X account (link below) where residents were asked to post about how safe and good DC is….
