Saw this on the CBS Morning News.

The only fricking reason this is a story is because it’s a black man that the dog attacked. That’s it.

If it had been a white male, we would have never heard about it.

Dog bites black suspect, news media……..

You just said you’re fine with police physically abusing suspects when they take them into custody. Don’t pretend it’s fear porn, when you just affirmed it.

If you run from the cops in an 18 wheeler, then I am ok with any outcome.

this brings up an interesting question, who is really in charge of these multi jurisdiction LEO responses? Seems like the SP had it under control and were resolving the situation when the Circleville City Cop let his dog loose. Is the SP in command in situations like this? It was on US 35, a major highway, were they even in the circleville city limits?

I don’t feel a lot of sympathy for this criminal. I just don’t see the value in setting a dog loose on a person who has surrendered. And from a fiscal standpoint, it’s likely going to be a lawsuit the city settles. That’s not good decision-making.

“I parked the truck and I was about to comply with them, but they all had they guns drawn out for whatever reason,” Rose said, per the recordings.

The dispatcher told Rose multiple times he needed to stop and comply with police, saying, “You need to pull over. You’re going to get yourself in more trouble than you’re already in.”

“I don’t know why they’re trying to kill me,” Rose said.

“They’re not trying to kill you,” the dispatcher said.

“Yes they are,” Rose responded, adding, “I do not feel safe with stopping.”

They really proved him wrong.

The statement confirmed the Circleville Police Department “was involved in a mutual aid request by the Ohio State Highway Patrol” after the driver of a semitruck refused to stop. The K-9 unit in question responded to assist highway patrol, the statement said.

Highway Patrol was running the show.

don't mind a little extra when people run from cops and put other peoples' lives in danger.

I'm not a fan of giving police the leeway to make that decision. They're not supposed to be the judge jury and punishment delivery mechanism.

The officers simply needed to detain the man and charge him to fullest extent of the law.

I agree with you on this, but the problem is that our entire justice system is predicated on the retributive model of "justice."

Capital punishment is nothing more than a delayed version of exactly what you just described, and for the same emotional reason.

Although I vehemently disagree, I can understand people who are pro-death penalty who see nothing wrong with physically harming a man in this situation because...why not? When someone does something wrong, you have to punish them. You can't just keep them away from the rest of society so that they can't hurt anyone else, you have to hurt them in some way to pay them back for what they've done. That might be physically, psychologically, emotionally, whatever, but that's what the system is based on.

So what's the big difference between keeping them in a prison in which conditions are awful and you know it and could improve them but won't or strapping them to an electric chair, or letting a dog maul them once they've surrendered?

People's need for revenge must be fed.

Again, I don't subscribe to that belief system. I think basing government policy on emotions is for leftists and Soy Bois.

But it is a consistent position.

I came into this thread expecting another pro BLM media skewed BS video but that's not what this was. Everything was under control then Billy Bob the local wannabe badass comes flying in with his dog and just lets it rip. Nothing in that video indicates race had anything to do with it so that's obvious BS but even the SP officers were saying not to do it and the one SP chick had her face in her hands like "I can't believe that idiot just did that". The guy in the truck endangering people needs to be put away, but I don't know how people in this thread are cool with some moron showing up to crime scenes after it's handled and sicking his dog on whoever he wants. Hell the dog ran past the suspect the first time and almost looked like he was about to attack the other officers before he circled back.

You can't expect certain demographics to comply and pull over for cops when there's countless examples like this of idiots getting ridiculous lawsuit settlements from not complying.

Too early for election time. Whoever fails to comply in July 2024 will win the ghetto lottery.

Then the retard cop lets his dog maul the guy.

The retard cop. Or, the retard criminal who ran from the police for 25 minutes only stopping because his vehicle was disabled and then didn't comply.

But of course, its always someone else's fault and never the criminal that caused the incident, right?
