You mean that thing started by the Democrats?

Interesting take, except for the fact that I both voted for Trump and have never voted for a democrat in anything above local elections.
Then you should be leaps and bounds ahead of where you are in sussing out leftist bullshite. Instead of bringing leftist bullshite to your conservative bretheren, you should be telling leftist where to stick their leftist hypocrisy, especially one surrounding the subject of conspiracy theories. Ignoring the attempted coup of the president you and I voted for, while propagating leftist bullshite about right wing conspiracies makes me doubtful of your philosophies and principles, if not your intelligence.

I simply do what most don’t and apply my skepticism equally to all unlikely events with little to no supporting evidence.
Then why didn't you apply your skepticism to the tenor, tone, and construction of this article? As a Trump supporter, how was your first thought not about the audacity of a supposed Christian lamenting the gullibility of those on the right, after the last 4 years?

Isn't it amazing how once they were released Trump's tax returns proved to be such a huge nothing?
Wait a minute! The truth is that Trump is fighting so desperately to keep his income taxes from seeing the light of day that he has taken his "case" to keep his finances hidden from the American people all the way to the supreme court.
After saying during the 2016 campaign that he would release his tax returns after his audit, he now has dragged the case before his stacked supreme court in order to keep his finances hidden from America.
Yes, it's probably best to keep Trump's tax shitshow off of your little list of "debunked" conspiracy theories, don't ya think?
You really, really think as crooked as the out going administration is and was they didn't grab his returns? If there was anything remotely damaging in his tax filings they would have been "leaked" by now.

At one time or another a not insignificant portion on this board actually believes or believes in a global child rape cabal involving all the richest and most powerful tycoons or business and politics from America to Singapore. We have threads THOUSANDS of posts long about this.
I don't recall anyone claiming all, but have you taken a couple of hours and read some of the names of the passengers on the Lolita Express, and visitors to pedo island? Do you know who Lolita was?

Or even better, Barack Obama is a Kenyan Muslim who cannot legally hold the office of President. This was believed by, I don’t think is overstating things, half? this board circa 2012. And this one is especially it is demonstrably FALSE.
I think anyone who can think is much more interested in whether Barry Soetoro classified himself as a foreign student in college. His mother was American, so he is American, pretty much regardless of where he was born. That being the case, producing a birth certificate without the mistakes a 12 year old would have noticed, would have helped the situation tremendously. As would releasing his college records, so we could see whether Obama, Soetoro? began his career the same way he ended it, defrauding the American public.

Conspiracy theories exist because our government is evil and lies to us on a regular basis.
The people in our government lie to us to further their own self interests and because we insist on it...if they told us the truth about what their intentions are we would never vote for them but only a naïve imbecile could possibly think that what they say during the campaign is what they plan to do when elected because a life time of watching them in action will dispel that myth in about 10 years. If their mouth is moving they are being dishonest or eating....
There are very few true conspiracies though because that requires some competence and planning and thought....and out side of thinking of ways to enrich themselves and garner more and more power thinking ain't what they do. And to conspire they would have to agree to anything, also an impractical idea...because they mostly agree to disagree. It would mean working together toward a common goal, something their greed insures us will never happen unless the common goal is, again, to enrich and empower the one individual and not both...technically possible I suppose but practically not so much...
What is truly amazing is so many people who think Government can not do anything right also think that the same government is capable of being involved in multiple complex conspiracies where they leave no hard evidence and never get caught. It can't be both ways...either they are incompetent or they are criminal masterminds capable of playing 12 D chess, 9 games at a time...evidence pretty strongly supports them being incompetent and pretty damned stupid at times...there is no evidence that they are involved in complex conspiracies and pulling them off with nary a trace...

Fewer than Republicans who will swear that Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet.
We all believe and repeat some pretty silly shite.

Not to dive into this again, his mother wasn’t old enough at the time to convey citizenship to a child born out of country.

An attempt to use Christianity against Christians. It’s not shameful to think critically and question authority. Especially when it’s becoming more clear by the day how corrupt that authority is.

What makes you think this? The Obama Administration, the FBI, the DOJ, the DNC, and the FISA court all left plenty of evidence. But what good is evidence if those who would use it are corrupt, or if those they would use it against are corrupt and powerful enough to avoid prosecution?
Someone murdered Epstein. We all know it. We all know there is evidence of it, thousands of people have motive to do it, and several even have opportunity. But we both know that there will never be charges. Our children, or their children will learn who killed Epstein in a holographic reading by Epstein himself, in the first ever post-mortem holographic auto-biography.

See I would accept that as a fact...and it is a fact in some cases....but I have had far too many people argue that he indeed claimed to have invented the internet to think for a minute that most know that it is hyperbole on the part of some to point out the ludicrous claim that was actually made....most actually think Gore claimed to have invented the internet, as do most think Obama said you did not build your small business yourself and meant that you did not build your small business yourself. Most do not know any better....and you will see soon when they respond to this post...

There are already apps in use around the world that categorize people by risk level of having the virus based on who else they’ve come in contact with, these apps are used as a “pass” to allow travel and commerce. Bill Gates and many others are indeed pushing to have such data inserted into your body via microtechnology that would hold your health data and be easily scannable. It’s not a conspiracy if it is being openly discussed and in some cases used

So the GOP is corrupt as well? Or they are incompetent. They are either one or the other if Obama and his administration left so much obvious evidence of their conspiracies behind and the GOP is doing nothing about it and will do nothing about it.
Sure some journalist at a reputable outlet would expose such crimes or incompentence and in their employer would garner total market share and make way more money than they would being in league with the conspirators. The logistics are just too far fetched, especially in the face of the multitudes of examples of staggering incompentence we have as a body of evidence supporting their idiocy and not their superior intellect.
If, however, they are capable of pulling it off and never getting caught by anyone not living under a bridge then that is the kind of person we need running things...a criminal mastermind...a person capable of out maneuvering and outsmarting everyone on the planet every single time they have the need to do so...

Here’s a conspiracy theory: is Joel Osteen really Christian?
Posted on 5/18/20 at 3:08 pm to Roger Klarvin
This is a great example of confirmation bias.
It’s a pretty ridiculous notion to suggest Christians are more gullible and are more likely to believe conspiracy theories.
But you lapped that up with the quickness.

Christians arguing for not taking someone else’s word at face value? Interesting.
I agree, interesting indeed. And yet, the authors offered this assessment of Evangelicals's skepticism of MSM, seemingly arguing for taking MSM more at face value.
quote:
For those concerned about the rise of conspiracy theories in the church, it is rather distressing that three-quarters of evangelicals agreed that the mainstream media produces fake news compared to only 54% of non-evangelicals.
More than combating this tendency, church attendance at least once a month was one of the factors more likely to correlate to agreeing that the mainstream media produces fake news (77% compared to 68% of those who attend less frequently).
We understand mistrust of the media that often struggles to accurately report on matters of religion, but these numbers are stunning.
Solution? Go to church less; cut MSM a little slack and give them the charitable benefit of doubt. Also interesting.

...but believe that a virgin conceived the son of god and he was later killed, came back to life, and went back to heaven. Along the way he raised the dead, gave the blind sight, and turned water to wine (would be awesome). You should believe 2/3 of the world’s population are heathens and will spend an eternity in a pit of fire because they haven’t been “reborn” into your belief. Their gods are false and yours is not because...
...the evidence and eyewitness testimony support your general summary characterization. (Perhaps it needs some fine tuning respecting 2/3 heathens, fire pits, and all that.) A Christian will tell you who Christ is but shouldn't expect you take their word at face value. They will pray, hope, and expect that you'll seriously and rigorously examine Christianity, for yourself and on your own terms, hopefully not relying exclusively on persons and resources that support your predispositions and which are innately and inherently hostile to true historical biblical Christianity.

You aren't understanding the concept. You don't have to be competent or a criminal mastermind if you have power, powerful friends, powerful friends in the right places, or knowledge of where your opponents bodies are buried.
