Half of Americans, including 42% of Democrats, said they would support mass deportations of undocumented migrants, according to a poll released Thursday.

The Harris Poll conducted for Axios also showed 30% of Democrats and 46% of Republicans say they would end the birthright citizenship guaranteed under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

According to the poll, the Biden administration is "most responsible" for the crisis, outranking any other political or structural factor — with nearly two-thirds saying illegal immigration is a real crisis and not a politically driven media narrative, Axios reported.

"I was surprised at the public support for large-scale deportations," said Mark Penn, chair of The Harris Poll and a former pollster for President Bill Clinton told the outlet.

"I think they're just sending a message to politicians: 'Get this under control,'" Penn said, calling it a warning to Biden that "efforts to shift responsibility for the issue to [former President Donald] Trump are not going to work."

Trump vowed to launch the "largest domestic deportation operation in American history" that would target millions of undocumented migrants.

Other poll findings were that:

51% say they support mass deportations of undocumented migrants.

21% fear increased crime rates, drugs, and violence as a result of illegal migration, while 18% fear added costs to taxpayers, and 17% fear the risk of terrorism and national security.

58% say they support expanding legal pathways for orderly immigration, while 46% say asylum seekers should be protected if their cases are legitimate.

68% say illegal migration causes major problems in communities, while only 27% say the same about legal migration.

This guy is to blame.

With regard to those that invade our nation, it is actually due to a footnote in a SCOTUS decision.

Never upheld/affirmed by SCOTUS. Only discussed in a footnote in Plyler v. Doe.

That’s fine but has there been any indication in these past few years that DC Dems or Pubs give a shite as to what Americans want?

It will be interesting when SCOTUS eventually has to decide on this.

Needs to include returning all refugees too, I don't care how long they've been here. Cause Biden is about to bring in a bunch of the worst this world has to offer. We need the muslim population in this nation cut significantly if we truly want to save this country. Especially since we aren't seeing a counter argument from any towards the "Death to America" chants.

If Trump gets relected mass deportation will be mandate as he hasnt hidden that as part of his agenda/campaign.

Agree. All 40 to 50 million of them. Why didn't Trump do this? It was one of his campaign promises last time.

Think of the employment opportunities in doing so. You’ll have clerical jobs, security services, transportation services, possibly cemetery’s busy. With everyone so elated we could have a yearly celebration for taking back our country and have it on May 5th instead of that fake Cinco de Mayo bs

Trump had the most effective border and immigration control in my lifetime, nerd. You don't remember when news channels were running stories about "Build That Wall is racist," and "muh babies in cages," and "muh migrant families being broken up because daddy got rounded up by ICE and deported," and "muh farmers can't find anyone to pick their crops..." I noticed a bunch of places that used to be a lot of hispanic workers... they disappeared over night. Illegals were scared when Trump was President. The second Biden got elected, all those hispanics mysteriously showed back up to those businesses they had left for a while. Weird. But yeah, Trump was terrible on on the border...

You fricking TDS nerd. Seek help for your mental illness. Jesus.
