Except sorting out what is GOPcare's fault v. The continued intentional death spiral of Obamacare will be hard for your average low information voter.
Those prone to blaming Obama will continue to do so, those liking the bill already blamed Republicans anyway.

Getting ignorant people aboard doesn't make it true.

This is still better than universal healthcare so ZFG.

I'm not arguing it's true. I'm saying that this is designed in such a way that Republicans will still be able to use Obamacare as a talking point to their base.
Regardless of who actually causes what, this is a political move.

That is a stupid perspective.

With all due respect...Captain Obvious? These are lying hacks that do anything to gain and maintain power.

I'm not implying that is some huge revelation. I am just trying to cut through a lot of idealism and remind people this is done to extend Republican power.

I think it's going to back fire.
We asked for repeal and replace. We did not ask for Obamacare lite.

I'm aware of that. It's only effective if we allow it to be effective.

quote:Yeah this was probably the biggest policy issue in this election, and probably the last several congressional election cycles. The GOP has made healthcare and the ACA a huge issue, and have been promising that only they can fix it for six years. I think voters will hold them accountable on this issue.

It's a tough spot to be in. Vote for Rs that are too weak to do what they were asked to do or vote for Ds that want to further expand gov more than the Rs.
To hell with all of them?

Oh frick all, that is what he is upset about with this bill???
No surprise considering in the campaign he advocated the government covering health insurance costs for the bottom 25% of the population (Medicaid currently only covers ~16%)

Now that this has Trumps full support, would many of the folks bashing it yesterday be in full support today?
