Forget AOC, the guy who really went full out to kill the deal was a State Senator named Michael Gianaris who about a month ago got appointed to a three person board that effectively could kill the deal.....word in New York politics is that you don't cross Gianaris and apparently Cuomo, DeBlasio and Bezos did. This project was smack dab in his district.

Yeah - AOC had the biggest megaphone but article references local pols. opposition as well. AOC's district abuts the Amazon site.
