Why would they not build it in a colder climate.

Lands incredibly cheap and colder climates are more susceptible winter storms that cause power outages.

Also low seismic activity I assume. The company I work for has built quite a few of these in Phoenix. Not exactly a mild climate there.

Better hope this doesn't happen.

You realize that's a completely different business unit and has frick all to do with anything right?

I don't see how you can possibly spend that much on a server farm.

The components are expensive and it's a massive facility that requires a lot of power to run.

All jobs for minorities, women, trans, and illegals . White males will be ruled out because of their skin color .

Not to mention they all have massive HVAC systems and backup generators. If the apocalypse happens, that's the building I'm headed to.

Depends on the infrastructure.

If it's roads, sure.

If it's a well on site for company use only, not so much.

I'm mostly ok with this.

I get that it is an investment. To say there is no cost, is silly. But all investments have costs. And if it's a smart investment that pays off, sure.

I guess I've just seen too many of these investments made by LA that never pay off.

Maybe for construction. This is likely a lie.

That's what I'm struggling seeing. 1000 employee server farm would be something else....

Sounds like a good deal and hope they get to see the payback though in the community. I'm jaded being from Oklahoma where it's always a scam or wasn't gonna ever actually happen
