Orrr, Iran know that it would've been a disaster for Trump and his admin if a US soldier was captured and tortured/held prisoner.

If the story that they have enough uranium to create 11 bombs is true (I’ll note the difference between “enough uranium” and “enough enriched uranium”) we had to move because that comment is enough to go to war over. We cannot sit idly by and allow them to even test a nuke. They become untouchable the moment a test happens. But I do remember the WMD garbage and we’ve heard for decades just how close they’ve been to a bomb. My support of this war is hinged upon the truthfulness of Bessent’s story. Once we went on the offensive we have to see this through. We cannot allow that regime to continue and we sure as hell cannot allow that uranium to sit out there waiting for someone to do something with it.

Yep, the rescue of our WSO officer was badass. My pulse even quickened as I watched those Apache launched missiles exploding in the midst of those Islamic Revolutionary Guard cockroaches.
Pure Islamics are just plain despicable people. I recall as few years ago reading a truly disturbing article by a distraught women somewhere in the east. She and a friend were sitting enjoying a sunny day and sipping on a cup of coffee at an outdoor cafe. Sitting at the table next to her was a group of Islamic men. One of the Islamic men held a little girl (maybe fourish) on his lap. Whereupon the woman caught sight of a truly disturbing scene. As the man conversed with the other men he slipped his hand under the little girls dress and was fondling her genitals. She could not believe what she was witnessing. The man was fondling the little girl, in public, right there in front of everyone.
Finally unable to control her revulsion, the woman exploded in rage and confronted the man. Well long story short - nothing happened to the man. Why not? Because apparently this practice of fondling little girls is a normal practice in Islam.
As I read the article I recall thinking - not a surprising revelation since the much revered Islamic Prophet Mohammed raped and abused young girls. Plus Islam has this awful practice of slicing off the genital of young girls.
Remember this America, radical Islam is NOT our friend. It is NOT culturally compatible with our values, traditions, and practices.

Just good ol fashioned state vs state unrestricted ground warfare we would kick the shite out of anybody, anywhere in the world. We just have so much more firepower. We struggle dealing with guerilla armies, just like every military in human history has. We have the unique issue of burdening ourselves with humanitarian concerns, a populace that is reliably split on support for war efforts, etc.
Our only weaknesses right now are moral and political, which is fine. I don't think any rational American wants us to become world history's most fearsome meat grinder. Iran knows that, and they know they can't destroy us on the battlefield. They just need that one thing to cause real uproar against our continued operation there.
There's no way they actually want peace. Peace would be giving up the government to their people, which I just can't imagine they would want. I think they'd rather burn the world to the ground than allow that.
