A-fricking-men. But its hard to divide people along things we all agree with.

Of course. They took the Hillary beating rally bad, so they have to celebrate something. Even though in reality, it means nothing. The guy is a scumbag and didn't need to be in the Senate. They'll vote a republican back in shortly and Alabama will be back to normal.

100% fact. They’re going to have a major problem in the coming decades clinging to that agenda. Younger generations don’t give a shite about that.
This resurgence (up until last night) of social doctrine by the right seems like a dying gasp of old people holding on to “muh bible”.
I am a millennial and much prefer voting red, but when left with choices as of late I’ve just stayed home. I’m not the only one.

I think the Republican Party definately needs to take a hard look at reinventing itself.
If Republicans aren't going to actually try and do anything to repeal Roe v Wade, they need to quit saying they're the Pro-life party.

it definitely does not mean nothing. The GOP plan was to pay for their corporate giveaway next year with cuts to services for poor people. That just got a little harder.

SO - you protected the nation from what?? having someone with sexual impropriety in the Senate??
You think you prevented the nation from enacting laws that make it legal to have 'feel up' 14 yr old girls??? because that has to be the only fear about Moore if you believe the allegations. How likely do you think that was to come before the Senate?? Were you afraid that Moore's rhetorical skills could have convinced 60 other senators to vote for 'feeling up' 14 yr. old girls???
Moore is not more of a "kook" than the man your vote helped to be a senator in his stead.
All this 'moral objection' would have been legitimate if it had come up in the primary. Then a different conservative could have been chose. But for it to come up after nothing could be done about the names on the ballot makes it nothing more than a dirty trick.
Moore could have been replaced at the next election - just as many of you are saying = "so what - we can replace Jones at the next election."
Instead, we now have 3 years of an even more deadlocked Senate stopping any and all important conservative ideals.
I don't know you, but I would suspect you were a jones guy from the start. If you really voted agains Moore solely because of these allegations, then you lack rational thought.

Is this the new left talking point? Anyone who discusses the reason an election went a certain way is now "melting"?
He's a little slow apparently.

Yeah, I don't get what I'm supposed to be melting about. Moore was a horrible candidate with sexual allegations who lost by less than 1%. He'd might have a point if Jones had beaten a solid republican candidate.
Posted on 12/13/17 at 8:26 am to thebigmuffaletta
Sexual allegations have immediately moved into the #1 slot in the Dem playbook now. I suspect we’ll see this tried every time now. The Left is purely evil.

because the Senate is so free from having scumbags sitting there

in 3 years - meanwhile, the Trump agenda will be halted. It was almost impossible to get anything done with only a 2 seat edge. Now, with a one-seat edge that means the Senate is realistically DEADLOCKED - nothing will be done without approval from Schumer.
BUT - for 3 years we can be warm and fuzzy about not having any scumbags in the Senate - right?
oh - btw - Moore would have been kicked out in 3 years too. Meanwhile, constitutional judges would have been seated and the Trump agenda could have a 50-50 chance of being passed. You have pissed those 3 years away for assured stagnation - all to the DEMs benefit in 2020.
BUT - rest assured - you have prevented an alleged 'scumbag' from sullying the halls of the Senate - those Saints in the Senate don't have to be worried about collecting any dust on their halos.

That was my point. This could be entered as one of the most blatant examples of dishing it and not being able to take it. Incredible they don’t see what’s going on.

nawh - it was Luther
How soon we forget only reason Moore was even in the hunt was because Quid-Pro-Luther didn't do his job in the first place. This got the Strange-lobbist-turned-AG placed into the Senate, where finally enough people cried foul and battle wise old Kay Ivey finally called for a special election (to get Moore out of the state - and possibly end his potential Gov'nor run).
Even then the national party still didn't get the message that Alabama wasn't going to be told which SOB was going to represent them. At which point Mitch doubled down on dumb by ratcheting up national support even more (sic) and old Trigger-Riding-Holier-than-Thou-Roy simply rode in on a small wave of never ending evangelical support... as a splintered one party state/system was left thumbing their noses at the establishment wing of their own party... for continually trying to hand pick Luther.
They simply ate their own.

It's pathetic that mere allegations can destroy a person. I'm sure the Duke Lacrosse players are thanking their lucky stars that they weren't running for office when bullshite allegations were made against them...

They can’t. I honestly believe this is their gun control. It’s a death blow. Pushing an anti abortion agenda all the way to a Supreme Court overturn is like a democrat going after the Second with a comprehensive AR ban or magazine restrictions. They will quickly die on that sword.
