Needs to also mean voting day is for all tabulations to be completed. No dragging counting votes for days or weeks

Conservatives, what’s the obsession with making it harder to vote?

This is quite the moronic comment, even by your standards.

Barrett is the problem here. She will undoubtedly side with the liberal women. Kavanaugh is also concerning.

It will be a 5-4 decision, just not sure which way.

No, it’s pretty stupid. Your “whataboutism” is noted and failed.

Katanji writes that she doesn't know what a day is.
It'll be something along the lines of....

What is a day? A day is an arbitrary construct of a white male from ancient Greece that relies on a warm star to define it. It can be short or it can be long. It changes in its form constantly, and so, where it starts and where it ends is always being changed, and so too must we adapt to changes in how we address the inequitable rights of how the word, 'Day' is like a noose around the necks of all black persons of color. The white definition has choked the life out of black people who too often have a history of the 'day' being long and hard in the cotton fields of MAGA Republicans who only seek to use and subjugate others into their warped, vision of 'day'.

I'd 100% support a single election day. In-person only unless you're active duty military outside of the US. That would be single-day, in-person only just collected and transmitted electronically on election day.

Research shows that early voting actually decreases voter participation by a small percentage. It accomplishes nothing other than increasing costs to the system.

Exception should be military.

Vote on Election Day with requirements that vote tally must be submitted immediately after voting ends.

What about stuff like offshore workers or the many other jobs where people are gone regularly. Not everyone can drop everything to show up for one single day I don't see the issue with limited (not talking about months on end) in person early voting

No way Jose. Early voting rocks.

Those votes are still tallied into the running total. Mail in voting and vote harvesting is where the scams come in.

Yeah I don't get this obsession with making every single person vote in person on election day only. Just the thought of the long lines that would cause sounds miserable

In order for me to explain, you must first explain how this actually makes it harder to vote.

You are being small-minded. Expand your thoughts beyond the apparent to the possible. It is possible for early/mail-in voting to benefit the participation of those who are:

1. Disabled
2. Confined to a health care center
3. Away on business, vacation or otherwise not able to vote on Election Day due to physical location.

The government should make Election Day a national holiday along with passing the SAVE Act. That would help a lot.

Justice Alito: “Election Day, like Labor Day or Independence Day, means one specific day when voting takes place, not a rolling period of weeks.”

If that ends up being the final majority opinion, absolutely huge. And if the worthless GOPe would pass SAVE, it would be even bigger.

Dims in blue states will still cheat, but this will make it more difficult.

We like having a non European or South American style socialist nation. The better question is why do you insist on having one?
