R’s are heavily favorited to hold their senate seat but it’s a 50/50 toss up for an at large house seat?
Both state wide elections with widely different margins. What’s up with that?

The Democrat is campaigning off the ghost of Don Young.
She's a native appealing to populists and moderates.

Ranked choice voting.
Murkowski would love to have a Dem in the House seat as long as she retains her Senate seat and she'll do anything to make sure that happens.

Mind-blowing to me that people still think ranked choice is why Peltola won the special election.

The fallacy is that cheating only occurs when it’s necessary to push a dim over the edge. If not for cheating this country would be 70%+ Republican

A very good native alaskan DEM candidate who is very admired in the native villages is up against 2 republicans who hate each other and refuse to bow out. Palin got more votes than Begich but he is not dropping out and both are encouraging their constituents to rank the other below the DEM Peltola. Peltola is probably going to win again.

Begich hates Palin so a lot of his voters either voted for the Democrat or spoiled their ballots to deny Palin the win. They will do the same next week.

100%
Which is funny because she's ultra liberal.

Yep, I don't know why they thought it would be a good idea, but this has allowed a fairly red state to most likely end up with a dem in their house seat and a RINO to more than likely keep her Senate seat when she should've been primaried like what would normally happen in other states when said Senator goes against the wishes of her constituents and loses the backing of her state's political party.

They're always "moderate" when campaigning.

I wonder if the Alaska GOP are telling their voters to rank the dem ahead of Murkowski. That might be the only way for them to get their candidate, Tshibaka, the win.
Tshibaka will definitely win the first round, but that second round will be difficult to win when all of the dem's votes go to Murkowski.

Because Murkowski runs that state and it's the only way she can fend off an actual Republican challenger.

Murkowski hates Palin because Palin defeated her father was the governor of Alaska. This is a personal vendetta for her. She is willing to see a Democrat elected rather than see Palin win. Unfortunately, Murkowski will be re-elected due to the ranked choice system. The Dem voters will pick her as their second choice.

It’s important for the GOP to win at least 52 Senate seats. I’ve got a scenario burning in my brain where the GOP wins 51 seats and Murkowski wins. She decides to caucus with the Dems just to be a bitch which makes the split 50-50 and the Dems keep the majority.

Or maybe the country isn’t as red as you think it is. If you live in the Deep South, it’s easy to think that, but it’s just not true other places.
The fact that you think republicans wouldn’t “cheat” just as much is mind blowing. This is what people mean when they call Trumpers a cult. And we sit here and criticize the Dims for groupthink.
