The only acceptable outcome is a Republican victory. Anything else should immediately be tossed aside as corrupt.

Why now? This was obvious over the summer, I'm not from Alaska and have no connection, but even I saw this. Peltola better hope that she wins by more of a percentage than that gained by J. Sullivan, for her own legitimacy. Anything less becomes problematic from a political standpoint. Legally the campaign and Democrat party is probably in the clear. This happens more times than people like to admit....usually in primaries.

The name thing is a new one, though.

Republican Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy is ordering an investigation into an effort to recruit candidates for the state's Senate race, including one with the same name as the incumbent Republican senator, following a New York Times report on the matter.

quote:

“Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support,” Dunleavy said. “Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.”

If someone is too stupid to pick the right name of who they want to vote for… that is on them, they shouldn’t be voting

Of all the people complaining about this story, I am certainly not one of them.

Exactly

This tacit admission that Republicans are this stupid is the biggest self own in a long time

Disenfranchising voters. SMH. Next, you’ll tell us that certain people don’t know how to get an ID.

I think people should have to show passports as ID to vote! Weed out all the trailer park trash that can’t figure out how to get one

Disagree. We have so many dumb boomers voting that shenanigans like these shouldn't stand.

That's the same argument

I don't think black people are that stupid, either.

This is called having consistency in analysis and not partisan-based analysis

If you're flipping your argument because the subjects of the joke changed then that is intellectual inconsistency based on partisanship

But requiring people to go to a DMV or any Express ID facility to get a state photo ID is like asking them to land a plane or some shite.

This is just her CYA to make it seem like she didn't know and wasn't cool with it.
