She’s not the only one.. I heard that marble mouthed bafoon Cam Ward on the radio this morning talking about how heroic a vote it was. Typical cheap suit politician.

We pay taxes to buy the car. Taxes to get a government mandated license to drive the car. Taxes on government mandated insurance to drive the car. And now in Alabama, an additional 10 cents per gallon tax to fuel the car.

I love the conservative south.

What did they spend that money on that was meant for road repairs?

Definitely not the roads.

I lived in Alabama near Tuscaloosa a few years ago and I can assure you that whatever tax they imposed on the tax payers for road repair was NOT spent on road repair.

About the only decent stretch of road/highway I encountered was I-85 between Montgomery and Auburn, and that was nothing to brag about.

It’s going to be a lot higher once they vote to increase taxes on fuel wholesalers. That increase will get passed right along to us at the pump. These assholes are going to have us paying damn near 3 dollars a gallon again before they’re done.

I feel for you. Hopefully the good people of Alabama stop falling victim to the virtue signaling of the so called conservatives representing them.

Lt. Gov Ainsworth seems to be in opposition. A good buddy of mine was on his campaign staff and has nothing but good things to say about him. Let's hope he can use his platform to shame these cocksuckers. We have enough money to do what is needed if it is used appropriately.

I dont know your buddy or him, but forgive me if experience tells me this guy may just be playing on the emotions people have over this issue to further his own political ambitions. This type of behavior from "conservatives" is rampant across the country.

I’ve still yet to hear a rational explanation as to why money from this tax is being diverted towards to port of mobile. I’m just not buying that the state needed matching funds in order for fed money to kick in for the port. Why is the port of mobile incapable of generating the needed matching funds?

Hell, it's generating more revenue than it has in a long, long time if not ever.

No one is arguing additional funds may be needed. It is how this was forced on us. Ivey should have ran on this. Debated it so the people has a say. I want a lotto and gambling. Not new taxes for everyone. AL GOPs are hypocritical.
