exactly. no freedom loving person i.e. conservative or libertarian, should ever have back the blue sentiment.
we should back them, when they deserved to be backed and the video evidence shows they should be.

I have plenty of friends in law enforcement that i respect the frick out of and know their principles. Usually they are much higher on the ladder too as they are usually more intellegent. I know even more though that were pieces of shite in school and became cops because it was one of the few things they could do.
but overall most would love to do exactly like australia did. frick that.

I know quite a few Sheriff's in TX, LA, and MS. I have been in the LEO technology business for 25 years. Not one of my clients share this view. Granted most of these guys are from rural counties or parishes.

Of course the Sheriffs are against it. In Alabama, when you get a concealed carry permit you write a check payable to the order of your local Sheriff.

Maybe you know more law enforcement than I do. The ones I know, are 2A lovers before they were LE. But, they took an oath to uphold the constitution of the state. When it changes, they feel they have to change with it... unfortunately
Sheriffs are politicians. Deputies in rural areas, which makes up a large percent of surface area of the country, are just regular folks. They enjoy the same freedoms everyday as everyone else. They don’t want to be over governed or suppressed just like the rest of us.
People always say LE has an “US vs them” mentality but mouth breathers on message boards spout that same shite. Instead of trying to reinforce a union of the people of a state and those under an oath to serve it, internet anarchist drive that mentality of division
