Alabama FEMA facility to be used as part of Coronavirus quarantine

My hometown is right next to Anniston and my friends back home are pissed. The government didn't give the city fathers so much as a head's up that this was going to happen. The official announcement was the first Anniston heard of it.

It’s been here probably for weeks prior to the “outbreak”. Any deaths were contributed to the flu most likely.

I cant believe Trump is going to allow this. If they move these folks to Alabama and one case is diagnosed in Mobile there will be a panic.

I agree. I'm not the type of person that typically gets sick. I don't even remember the last time I got the flu. However, as soon as this damn outbreak was announced everyone I know was sick. With the flu. Including myself. It was a particularly nasty virus as well and it did turn into a respiratory thing too.
Everyone I know also recovered from it.
Thing is about this virus, it has been suggested by people who work in these fields that this thing really seems to target Asian males more than anyone else. That's not to say other people can't get sick with it, but because of a certain type of cell most prevalent in the lungs of Asian males, it is most dangerous to them.
I may have had the damn thing. Kept me down for about a week but I didn't need to even go to the hospital.

Don't know for sure that The FEMA Facility is leftover from the old NBC school at Ft. McLellan, but I'm guessing it was. They probably had a quarantine unit that was set up for training purposes.

Just FYI, this place is the main training facility for chemical/biological weapons for the military.
If anyone can handle it, they can.

They still do lots of disaster related training there, mainly for the healthcare industry.

Is The Army still doing it there? Ft. McLellan is gone.
I figured they had moved that part to Ft.Sam, and FEMA had just taken over the facility.
