Louisiana violates your right to remain silent and can charge you for if you don't inform.
Maybe you should worry about Louisianas current laws instead of Alabamas FORMER laws.
Eta: you don't have a constitutional right to even drive a car.

Doesn't Louisiana still force you to have a permit to conceal carry in public? Seems like you would be more concerned about that than a law that no longer exists in Alabama.

If you have a conceal carry license then you don’t have to separate etc.

BTW, the Senate is voting on it today. It passed last year but our Honor Chode governor vetoed it and a couple of RINOs didn’t override his veto.
Shouldn’t be a problem this time though.

Handed over my AL DL and my CCL, no issues. Both officers ask where my weapon was and I told them.
I was instructed both times to have a nice day and watch my speed. Apparently I have a lead foot.

In Oklahoma we passed constitutional carry but I am still an SDA Permit holder, and I recommend everyone who carries should also be. The reciprocity alone makes it worth the minor inconvenience of occasionally renewing your license.
Just know the gun laws VERY WELL of every state you're planning to pass through, and even certain cities within states (some Colorado cities, for example) have laws that are very different than at the state level.

You can carry without a license. Loaded or not. You just have to inform any police officer that may come into contact with you about your weapon.

Bama was run by Dems till 2010, and even then some of the elected were career politicians. We're still fixing the mistakes.
Some states are going backwards and have elected Dems to statewide offices recently. Know any of those?

Well this is wrong. In Alabama you had to have the handgun unloaded and locked in a container. And it couldn’t be accessible.
The law for Jan 2023 changed it. This is the old info:

What does this have to do with anything I was posting?
The conversation was about people driving through Alabama. If you didn’t have a reciprocal CCW your handgun was required to be locked in a container and away from occupants. That changed with the law Jan of 2023.

The OP that started this thread made it out like it was illegal under any circumstances to carry a loaded firearm in your vehicle
