No LEO's enforced that, unless they were going to arrest you anyway and wanted to tack on some extra charges.

Good on you for checking on the law before you traveled, but you would have been okay.

For the record, I paid the $7 per year just so I would be legal to ride around with a car full of guns. Unfortunately, I did a 5 year renewal a couple of years before they passed constitutional carry, so I wasted $21.

I never said under any circumstances. I said unless you had an Alabama CCL that it was illegal, which it was.
