WTF...cheaper than dirt selling a 20-rd box of 7.62x39 for f-ing $22 plus shipping.
This is insane.
I remember when stamped steel cased cartridge AK ammo used to be like 10cents a round...and that wasn't that long ago.
You can buybin bulk for around 42-49 cents per round.

depends on whether its 'assault rifle grade' or not.

CTD is notorious for price gouging. Similar rise in prices for AR magazines after Sandy Hook. There are lots of other sites to shop.

These people lost my business years ago in the wake of Sandy Hook.

Piss off... In South Arkansas where I grew up, if it shoots in a damn gun... It's called a shell.

20 round box for $2 plus shipping. That's $.10 per round?
Anyway, ammo is one thing that I don't need. I've been taking care of that stockpile for years.
Ok you edited.

That's outrageous. Keep shopping around -- I picked up a few thousand rounds of 7.62 for the AK and a thousand rounds for the Springfield .40 just prior to this giant pile of shite taking off. Good luck

Yes, part of it is a "bullet", fixed into a shell, that is fitted with a primer and powder, together they make a "cartridge" or "round".

I used to buy from Cheaper than Dirt until they started to price gouge the frick out of their customers after Sandy Hook. They've lost my business forever over this selfish arse move. I am a capitalist but I think I'm also a morally good person and charge fair rates.

You just made the same mistake he did. The shell is the casing, the bullet is the projectile. If it’s a complete round it is a cartridge.
I love when smart asses try to correct someone and are wrong themselves

To be fair, that pic you posted is the new subsonic 7.62x39 ammo that Brown bear just started bringing in the country a couple months ago. I think it was around 50 cents per round before this all started. Still quite a big price jump but not nearly as bad as charging $1 per round for regular fmj Tula ammo or something.

I use shell for shotguns.
Rounds for all other ammo

I'm really torn on if I want an AK or AR. Seems like a quality AR is cheaper and easier to acquire, budget aks seem like a crapshoot.
