I think some people are confusing stupidity and what’s lawful.
Were they stupid to attempt a citizens arrest rather than just follow him until the cops arrive? Yes
But they are within the law to attempt a citizens arrest because they had direct knowledge even if they didn’t witness a crime. This was done on the same day Ahmaud was caught on video breaking into a house under construction. Once they had him trapped they attempted to get him to comply until the cops arrived. He charged and grabbed the gun and then got shot.
We can sit here all day and discuss all of the dumb things done, but the law is very clear.

They have to have direct knowledge of a felony. They’re still a ways away from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

It was already known that he was in the unfinished house. It’s clear he wasn’t out for a jog. Don’t see how this changes the facts to justify the murder.
