Do you assume neutrality or even-handedness in a ridiculous piece like this?
Do you even remotely believe if CNN had one source who was actually present during the supposed conversation, they'd have lessened the validity assigning their sources only as "people familiar with the matter."
"People familiar with the matter" is terminology used to accommodate 3rd party humor rumor traffickers. Someone who overheard someone else at the coffee machine discussing what they'd heard had been said is a person "familiar with the matter."

As the 10% tariff is on the wholesale/import price, not retail, the actual number consumers would see even if the chinese suppliers didn't lower their prices to the correct exchange rate would be minimal.

China is being brought to her knees for her undue influence in our and global affairs directly related to our prior Administration. Do not make the error of seeing this simply as a tariff matter-your perspective is far too myopic.
