Not palm greasing necessarily - If they were truly trying to get the rules fixed, it helps - but only if enforceable, bc McCarthy is a lying Uniparty POS.

A present vote still count towards the quorum, right? So that wouldn’t lower the number of votes needed.
Now Gaetz straight up missing the vote would lower the quorum and threshold needed. That could be his out on saying he would never vote McCarthy.
