My daughter’s sorority sisters friend was where the shooting occurred and said the person standing next to her was shot. Absolutely crazy.

Because it's a gun free zone.
Any student, faculty member or employee can carry a firearm on a public university campus in Florida.

Possibly two shooters. Damn.
Not impossible but my guess would be one shooter (the dead one) and possibly a bystander with a gun of their own that'll get sorted out later. It's rare that these kinds of things are a team event.

Another mass shooting? Impossible. People prayed after the last shooting. How could there possibly be another shooting?
Wow

If the murderers had been been praying they wouldn't have shot anyone.

Probably an isolated incident with the usual suspects
You'll know it is if MSDNC, XiNN, ABXi, XiBS and NBXi headlines are bereft of this story entirely.

Looks like a white male from what I’ve posted. Doesn’t mean he’s not full of SSRI’s which are also usual suspects in school shootings.

Probably something stupid related to Gaza.

NBC News now reporting at least 1 dead, 6 others injured and suspect in custody.

I'm full of SSRIs and I have no desire to end another person's life.

A Florida State University College of Criminology and Criminal Justice study confirmed what many have unofficially concluded on their own: Tallahassee and Leon County is experiencing a spike in violent crime.
The college gathered cases from both the Tallahassee Police Department and the Leon County Sheriff's Office June 4, 2019, to June 4, 2023 to determine the extent of gun violence, who's involved in the violence and where it's occurring.
quote:
Homicide rates have nearly doubled over the past decade
Homicide and firearm assault rates in Leon County steadily increased over the past 20 years surpassing the state and comparable counties' averages.
In one decade, the homicide rate went from 5.46 in 2010 to 9.68 in 2020.
quote:
Victims and suspects were typically Black males in their 20s
Gun violence impacted 1,255 victims and 414 known suspects were identified.
The age and racial demographics of both victims and suspects was disproportionately Black males in their late 20s.
