60 Minites did a decent piece on the ACLU a few weeks back

The new head guy isn’t even trying to hide the fact that they have turned their back on protecting constitutional liberties because they have raised so much money fighting Trump

Ben Wizner is a political hack and his opinions on Assange or most any other subject are as well informed as a Maxine Waters morning deuce

Sad, because the ACLU used to do some important work.

Agreed. They chose to be a political organization.

This sounds like the old ACLU. Not the new race baiting ACLU.

I used to be a supporter of the ACLU back in the day, but no more. They're awful now.

But, on this particular topic, they're right, and if they want to throw their weight behind Assange's legal fight, I don't see how it could hurt.

Wait, I thought Trump was in cahoots with Wikileaks and the Russians to steal the election from Hillary. Should we not be arresting this major player in the colloosion narrative?

If leftists aren’t using circular logic, then they use none. leftists are so insane, I can’t even tell which of those 2 categories they would use to answer your very valid question.

Any prosecution by the United States of Mr. Assange for Wikileaks’ publishing operations would open the door to criminal investigations of other news organizations

Sounds good to me!

Wow, you mean they're actually doing their job and defending civil liberties?

I think two issues are at play here:

1)He has little to no rights as a foriegn citizen.

2)I am curious how the DOJ can prosecute a foreign citizen who was not present in the country during his crimes.

Assange is not going to be prosecuted for publishing top secret information. He will be prosecuted for stealing it.

You would think that she would learn to keep quiet. But no, she just has to keep reminding us of how dumb she actually is.

“Any prosecution by the United States of Mr. Assange for Wikileaks’ publishing operations would be unprecedented and unconstitutional, and would open the door to criminal investigations of other news organizations. Moreover, prosecuting a foreign publisher for violating U.S. secrecy laws would set an especially dangerous precedent for U.S. journalists, who routinely violate foreign secrecy laws to deliver information vital to the public's interest.

Translation: we don't need this guy sitting in front of Congress and saying that Seth Rich was his source because the real dead man's switch is when the crazy old bitch goes nuclear on everyone she knows as she crashes and burns and dies.

But nah. It's probably because of their journalistic integrity.
