The military went after people who refused them and ruined a lot of their careers. If you ever wanna deep dive on it's pretty fricked up - made examples of them so others wouldn't step out of line. Some of those people have sued.

I haven't met another airman willing to separate over the shot. I think that has more to do with my career field. The overwhelming majority of the intel field is very far left

Air Combat Command had serious issues with many fighter pilots saying frick off. ANG had big issues since most traditional fighter pilots are airline pilots. It shut that shite down with the quickness

I worked intel squadrons in the military at Air FOrce special ops command and most of them weren't far left however their was a purge that's been ongoing for some time in the military where lot's of conservatives get out because they are sick of the leftist dogma that comes with it. Their even teaching it at West Point. I am also still involved in some capacity with Intel and I wouldn't say it's extremely left leaning but times are changing.

Yeah they cancelled forced anthrax shortly after I deployed in 04. Not sure if they ever brought it back after that. It was super controversial at the time. It's the only shot I didn't want to get. So many guys came back with huge knots in their arms and talked about how bad it burned. Luckily for me, I had no reaction to them.

It may just be my experience, from what I've heard people involved with special operations are usually more on the conservative end
