It has to be Shaw

I'm living in SC, stationed at Ft. Gordon. It's right at the state border
I haven't had any NJP's. My command has set a deadline for everyone to be vaccinated, I told my flight chief that I refuse the vaccine. I was then told that that was refusal to follow an order which would result in an Article 92 and that I would he separated. As far as the type of separation goes they've told me it may be classified as general or other than honorable. I'm in contact now with the ADC to work out the details of what exactly will happen. My command has made it clear that the 92 and separation is what I'm facing
There's an amendment on the next defense bill that would require all covid related discharges to be classified as honorable. I'm assuming if that passes through I'll be able to retroactively change the status before then. And I hope to God that Trump or DeSantis will make it in 2024 regardless of my benefits
I'm actually stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA. I chose to live across the river in South Carolina though, the fort is right next to the SC border
Yes, most likely. There was a $6k sign on, from what I've been told I'll pay back the equivalent of the time I had left. I won't be surprised though if ultimately I'm obliged to pay back the entire amount
Thanks, I understand everyone's concern about a fake account. Truthfully it's ironic because I was assigned to one of the 3-letters that people are (rightly) concerned about. You guys should do what vetting you can because there are definitely people in these organizations that keep tabs
It may just be my experience, from what I've heard people involved with special operations are usually more on the conservative end
That's Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, everyone but the Navy trained there after DLI
I haven't met another airman willing to separate over the shot. I think that has more to do with my career field. The overwhelming majority of the intel field is very far left
Honestly I didn't even look into it, with the shite show that the military is these days I'm seeing this as a great exit strategy
Just about four years, I'm just over halfway through my enlistment. I was really planning on Trump winning last year
I've been a long time observer on TD, this has been the first thing I ever really felt like posting
E-4, Senior Airman. I enlisted in a 6 year contract as a linguist
For not taking the vaccine. They're giving me an Article 92 for "failing to follow an order" and giving me an admin discharge. I outright told them "no" and they weren't too happy, but I'm not about to be a lab rat.

Honestly I'll be glad to get out, I'll lose my VA benefits but I'll keep my principles.
