Should Trump win, he only serves another 4 year term. This ticket allows Desantis to then run for President as the sitting VP, and serve up to 8 years.

DeSantis governor of Florida - 2022-2026.

Trump POTUS - 2024-2028

DeSantis POTUS - 2028-2032 and 2032-2036.

That is ideal.

Or perhaps Trump/Stefanik?

He's very impressed with her.

Despite recent events the VP position is where careers go to die.

They made Teddy Roosevelt VP in an attempt to kill his rising career but didn't see McKinley being assassinated.

DeSantis being VP would be the worst possible thing considering how well things are going in Florida. It would be much better for him to run as Governor of Florida.

DeSantis is too good for VP he’s much more valuable staying in Florida until 2026 then rolling right into campaign mode for 2028

As I have stated before, I don't know why as I have no firm evidence one way or another, but for some reason I do not trust DeSantis. For some strange reason I get the feeling that he is just another fast talking Italian slicker or Mafioso. I guess I will just have to wait to find out if the feeling is justified.

Please stop with this idiocy. You don’t know how the government works if you think this is a good idea. First off it’s illegal for the President and Vice President to be from the same state and run on the same ticket. One of them would have to move, and it sure as shite wouldn’t be DeSantis.

Secondly DeSantis is far more powerful and in a better position as the Governor of Florida than the Vice President of the United States. The VP is intended to be a powerless position who simply decides tie breaking votes in the Senate. Unless you are counting on Trump dying in office, DeSantis is useless in the VP position compared to the power he has now. Never mention this idiotic idea again.

This is my ideal scenario too. A little risky, but as long as we can stop the last min illegal voting changes in states it can happen. Especially after 3 yrs off Hiden.

We need a good 4 yrs of total house cleaning that is set up for Desantis success for 8 yrs. Not having him waste his first term doing it. And Trump going scorched earth on this govt would be fun to watch.

Now a Trump run with no Desantis, needs to make sure it has a VP with no prez illusions, and his sole job is to help clean house and set it up for Desantis. And then Desantis can have a Pompeo as VP. I don't care for many other options thrown out there right now. Maybe Cruz, but he needs to clean up his recent mess.

At the end of the day Trump or Desantis...we are all going to vote for either, but it's a matter of best long term game plan.

Now FL definitely needs to figure out who is a legit AF potential replacement.

Not as dumb of an idea as making DeSantis VP, but Rand is better placed in the Senate as well over VP. He’s doing lots of good work there right now.

Massie can have his seat. Rand is younger than Trump and I doubt he will appoint GS people to his administration.

Nah.

Trump has played his part in government and I will be forever grateful. He’s very valuable outside of public office. I would like to see Trump use his clout to campaign for true conservatives and fight big tech.

It’s time for DeSantis. He can govern with Trump style governance, without any of the draw backs of being a Trump. As far as VP, I think you give Youngkin a few years to prove his mettle. If he’s worth a shite, it may be a winning strategy to carry VA.

Trump needs to be very clear regarding covid. Come out and post evidence that those that are vaxed are the ones not in the hospital dying.

Trump needs to admit they don't know wtf they are doing & Fauchi is a dweeb that can't be trusted.

Trump needs to highlight that Military documents now prove Fauchi lied.

We all know Fauchi is crooked and lies but the dog and pony shows do nothing in DC.

Truth be known DeSantis mirrors Trump and boostered up. Real Talk: all govt officials have and had to. Did they all take placebos or the real thing? Why are Congress Critters exempt from the mandatory Vax?

Where does DeSantis stand on globalization, immigration, Global warming on the National Presidential level? Would he tell the Paris Accords grift to go pound sand? Would his military service make him a neocon?

Is DeSantis the best we got GOPe lite or real MAGA?

Until real MAGA issues with DeSantis is cleared up and covid with both

DeSantis is concentrating on a Governor's race only now

Trump has been rode hard and put up wet. (Would Trump endorse Noem? Who would he endorse? Will Eric, Lara, Junior, be running or is it Trump's ego above all?)

Deciding this primary (even tho we all need a light at the end of the tunnel) is moot at this time.

There is nothing ideal about that ticket. For one...it's illegal as both men hail from the same state at the present moment. And for another, VP is a thankless job that carries with it little real power. DeSantis would be more powerful as the governor of Florida than he would be as Vice-President of the United States. DeSantis should never settle for anything less than the presidency.

Yes. I have always wondered why Trump moved his residence to Florida and now I believe it is to block the Florida Governor from running or being on the Republican ticket. Trump's move to Florida was strategic and I am watching to see who from NY will be on his ticket if he wins the Republican nomination. I think it will be most likely a family member.

Strategic in the sense that taxes in Florida are so much better than in New York.
