We are learning that addiction is largely a psycho-social pathology more than an biological pathology.

Why do you think drug use rates have exploded in places "left behind" economically like the Rust Belt? Or why the lower class becomes addicts at higher rates?

The explanation is not phrenology

Trump is letting Fentanyl in, before him it was Biden.

You folks think these drugs magically float into the country, or something.

Either way, personally, I don't care if blowing up these boats serves no purpose other than military target practice during exercises. These people are scum.

Do you feel that way about Americans who are involved? Because I guarantee you know a few, and dont realize it.

Trump was killing drug traffickers in his first term?

Yes, in Afghanistan.

It failed too.

Don’t know how you can blame Trump for Purdue handing out opioids like candy

When people cant get their painkillers legally, they'll opt for synthetics.

I'm criticizing his administration for its response to this. I would much rather oxy be the drug of choice than fentanyl. The regulatory actions taken to stop the crisis you referenced led to fentanyl exploding everywhere in our society. I'll take the real opiates instead and try to work my way back

What I'm arguing was "the grain" in here about 2010-2016

I didn’t know Fentanyl was a problem until the first Trump term when they brought it front and center as an issue.

I consider myself one of the wacky libertarians and I think that WOD has never truly gone hard enough in the paint.

The problem was ever supplying the market with oxy to begin with.

I am pretty libertarian when it comes to drug use but nothing good comes opioids. The fact that it was ever as available is insanity, everyone that in the sackler family or aided them should be in the worst part of Angola

Suire, but the statement was how we pivoted to Fentanyl, which is worse.

It was already happening pre-Trump. Saw addicts shift to heroin from oxy. The economics of it just force their hands, they can only do $80 oxys for so long

this isn’t Trump or Purdue’s fault.

Everyone has known about opioids being addictive for like 20 years now. It’s not 2007 anymore. This is an American people problem

Not to this extent. The number of Fent deaths more than tripled under his admin.
