Yes. That we "allow" government to take 40% of our income is frankly ridiculous. The good news for you is that you are better than your contemporaries. Stay the course, and you'll be better off than they are.

You really want get pissed, tax payers owe the government close to $243,000.

I dont think people realize that taxation isn't a problem, it's the symptom. The symptom a forever growing bureaucracy. The federal government is responsible for borders, immigration, and national defense. That's it.

The more it grows, the hungrier it gets. It will never go back no matter what. All empires fail. Its just a matter of time.

Unelected bureaucrats make "rules" that are enforced by federal agents. Not laws by duly elected representatives. Once that was allowed, it was over. Just enjoy the ride in hopefully a "free" state and a family. It ain't getting better.

What pisses me off a whole fricking lot is I’m supposed to be financially responsible and prudent…I’m supposed to live within my means, but the DC Elites in our federal government can saddle me with debt they conjure out of thin air and we have little power to stop them short of a complete purge of the DC Sewer.

Main advice - figure out a side hustle - and put all that money in a Roth IRA - You are still so young and compound interest is amazing.

It’s going to be hard to take anything you have to say serious if you blame older, wiser generations for your problems.

There’s no such thing as the real world. Just a lie you’ve got to rise above.

So we keep on waiting on the world to change.

And then I think back to the last election and ponder, “Why, Georgia, why?”

My Gen Z son and his friends are exactly this. Sucks, but none of us born after 1970 are going to see a cent of the Social Security that I’ve maxed out for the better part of two decades now. You, my friend, are going to have to score higher, produce more and for it, you will be villainized for your “privilege.” Do your job, raise a family if you like and stand tall when you meet your maker. There is solace and satisfaction in actually earning what you get.

So far,

The bailouts started under the traitorous Bush family going to war against the Iraqi Nation and what ensued under the second generation of Bush fiasco nimrods paved the way for Obama and Bluto.

The idiots never give anything to those who have struggled and payed deep taxes into the systems for 40 + years if you watch it.

They will be you before you know it.

Give the young a free handout and bleed the old.

That’s our direction and decrease the surface population of the deservedly.

frick go work for ten years pay in and pay your debt back then come to us for something!

Sorry I downvotes you on accident. Boomers fricked this country. We may never recover from the damage they have done.

Good for you! I’m 49 and voted in every possible election I have been eligible for…never once even had the faintest consideration to vote for any Democrat! They simply have never and will never align with just about any of my political views.

My nephew just graduated college. And all his friends get it now. They will vote republican too. This really crushes the kids who are just starting to work

Your generation has been saddled with a debt you could never possibly pay.

The biggest beneficiaries of the ballooning national debt has largely been boomers.

Boomers also ushered in the marxist movements we see today.

GenX, Millennials, and Zers all owe boomers a kick in their aged balls.

One look at Reddit will show you that there is a far, far more sizeable number of voters in your age bracket who support these current policies/views.

Just look at that FICA tax on your paycheck and know you will never see any benefit from that money…ever. It has already been spent.
