A little insight into leftists thought processes and what they want

My biological father, who I was not raised by, is one of these people that has always been a dem but has become radicalized in the past decade b/c of Trump. When talking on the phone sometimes I just let him talk so I can get glimpses into how they think. Last time we talked he told me how he was revelling in the fact that the Dow is down recently, but just after Trump won in November and the Dow was going up he said that the Dow going up was inconsequential bc it wasn't a true indicator. He also mentioned this BS "Measles outbreak". Nevermind the 15 such "outbreaks" last year. This is something I've pretty much known for years but this cemented a couple things. Theres nothing that could be accomplished that they would ever give him credit for and they are absolutely actively pulling for the country to fail and would do anything in their power to sabotage Trump. At their core, they're actually scared to death that he will succeed and believe he can, because of what it would do for their chances of getting back into power. It's a sad state that the left and the media has created in this country

I'm so glad that the circle of people I have around me that think this way has shrunk to only a few.
I do enjoy reading their mindless rants on social media, but at the same time it makes me feel deep shame that I associated myself with that cult.

Bottom line it’s really only about power and control for the Left.
They really don’t care about this country and they really don’t care about its citizens.
They just crave the ability to control its future, whatever shape it may be in and whoever may be living in it.
If you are a perceived enemy, Progressives enjoy nothing better than the notion of telling you how you’re going to live, what you are going to like and stamping your fanny out altogether if you don’t get with the program.
They really don’t care about this country and they really don’t care about its citizens.
They just crave the ability to control its future, whatever shape it may be in and whoever may be living in it.

I agree with you 100%, that's what I was saying about at the core of this they're actually scared that he will succeed because it would expose the frauds that they are and it would take a miracle for them to get back into power and like you said, that's all they really care about

The idea that a man could father a child and not feel the need for helping them grow is not foreign to me. The very fact that they don’t is deepest truth of character. The luck on my part was my mother was able to meet a good man who I called dad. This was in a time when marriages stayed together
