A heightened sense of danger around young, black males.

This isn't something that only police officers feel. It's something other black people feel. It's the justification you often hear from young black males themselves for being armed. "It's dangerous in these streets".

STFU. You have no idea what you are talking about. I've felt intimidated by young black males the same amount as I've felt intimidated by young trashy white dudes.

who said intimidated? Aware. Prepared. Armed. Never intimidated.
I know exactly what I'm talking about.

To paraphrase Chris Rock, "I don't keep looking behind me when I'm standing at an ATM because I'm afraid there might be a white person standing there waiting to rob me."

I employ a young black male to take care of my property. He's covered in tats and quite menacing looking; and from what I understand was once an unholy terror. By his own admission he regrets his appearance and wouldn't blame anyone who avoided his presence.
He found God, got married and had a kid and is trying to do everything right today. But damn, he looks like he would rip your larynx out without a second thought.

It's not just race. It is also image and attitude projection.

Yeah, not many people will cross the road seeing the guys in the first pic.
The ones that do are idiots.

Sense of danger from fellow black men absolutely.

I was in a criminal justice class during undergrad with it being a majority of black kids, I was pretty surprised when they complained that they couldn't wear hoodies, etc. without being stereotyped. I thought, if I was in their shoes, how hard is it to dress normally and not like the idiots in that picture above? I'm not going to wear jorts, rock tattoo sleeves or wear dark trench coats in the summer and demand respect.

I completely agree. It's not a hard concept, yet many people don't get it.

Amen. I don't have any intimidation around a well raised and educates black male. It's the trashiness and lack of education that worries me about a person

Please tell that Young Man for me, that He has an anonymous admirer and well-wisher. He is a light in all of this darkness and pessimism...and the hope for any future or worth. And IMO, He's laying a wonderful groundwork for his next life. And tell him we are all equal in one regard...that we are all (assumption) "trying to do everything right today".
God bless that Man.

Steve Urkel just isn't that intimidating.

They've been told to be angry, resentful, and scared by the progressives in the media and in the Democratic party.
The summer before every election, Democrats exacerbate racial tension with a wedge issue.
