and would be so worthless that why even bother wearing it?

Exactly my point.

So what are your intentions?

You can possess bolt-action rifles in most countries relatively easily. More effort than the US, but not particularly that much effort.

That’s fine. I’m not advocating for anything, just disheartened to learn of yet another efficient and very easy to use way humans invented to kill other humans and animals.

A bolt action rifle? That’s a step above a muzzleloader.

What’s wild is how little the common person understands about firearms

Bolt action rifles have been around since the 19th century.

Even so, I’d apparently be able to pick that thing up and kill someone with one shot from a roof hundreds of feet away.

you're asking why a 30-06 would have a large entry wound?

Precisely. I’m not sure why you’re getting all pissy about it, I’m just asking an honest question. I genuinely want to know how big you think an entry wound for a 30-06 is

I saw the video that was posted on page two of this thread last night - it made a lot of sense to me. Not sure if you watched it or not. I haven’t seen too many other still frames of Kirk like the ones you just posted, so I was going with the theory from the aforementioned video. If I’m wrong I’ll admit it, just didn’t see anything else to refute what that guy had said in that video

Are you suggesting he taped a plate to his chest?

A plate requires a plate carrier that is basically a vest. He was not wearing a vest. Any abnormalities in his shirt print are from his necklace and/or his lapel mic.

Bookmarking this for posterity. Based on your post history here we may need it for law enforcement.

Yeah you could kill a person from hundreds of feet away with any deer rifle. Killing things is what guns are designed to do

Do you think it would be very easy for someone who had never shot a real rifle before too? Genuine question. As someone without experience, it seems too lucky.

Cubbie, I would like to recommend going down to a local range and spending about $50 to $100 to try it. Most ranges have firearms available for rental on and hourly rate while you are at the range. (You can't rent them and take them out hunting or "whatever" though.) Someone at the range will be glad to put you at ease and show you the ropes.

I think you will discover two things:

1) It's relatively easy to learn how to shoot a rifle with decent accuracy in a lot shorter time frame than you would imagine, and

2) It's actually cathartic (and rather fun, too)

Seriously, give it a try sometime and you'll begin to understand firearms as a tool rather than as a fearsome weapon to be used for the sole purpose of killing innocent people.

I know you have the internet. You are here. Use that internet tool and see that the shooter was a hunter in his youth and was trained to hunt.

I, to this day, cannot believe they let someone like you teach. Were you a DEI hire?

Breaking: FBI just released picture of the potential plate armor Kirk may have been wearing

MFer are you really encouraging another left leaning weirdo to learn how to use a firearm??

Fair. Then I apologize. We've had to squash this same thing about a dozen times in the last 24 hours.
